Good light illuminates things, but scientists discovered long ago that it can do much more. Good light ensures a well-balanced daily rhythm, it makes us happy, successful and even slim. It sounds far-fetched but it's true! Good light supports both periods of activity and periods of rest. Good light ensures sufficient sleep and everything else falls into place almost automatically. Our goal is to provide the best possible working light. But what do we mean by light for work? We work in many places from traditional desks in offices, home offices and even outdoors. LUCTRA® can be used to illuminate every workspace no matter where you are.
Every LUCTRA® lamp is hand-crafted in Germany. We have given preference to regional suppliers and the materials we use are all recyclable. We will also gladly take back our products at the end of their life cycle to reclaim the materials. To consistently implement our sustainability mission we also take actions to preserve our environment.
We are a diverse international team of individuals. We appreciate personality. Everyone is allowed to be a little different. We are all experts in our own fields but we all work together as a team. What unites us is a passion for our product.

The mother of two knows exactly what she is talking about when it comes to the effect of light, since Scandinavians live in darkness half of the year. Her vision is that LUCTRA® will become the first option when it comes to choosing good light. The possibility to improve people’s health and wellbeing is what makes her heart beat even more for this unique brand and products.

Sophie is the youngest member of the LUCTRA® family. She lives in a patchwork family with five children, and from that angle she is familiar with creative chaos. Sophie accepts every challenge and invariably keeps the whole picture in view. In summer, however, she likes to take some time off to ride her motor bike or to enjoy a glass of French red wine. What does she like about LUCTRA®? The possibility to make personal settings on the lamp, which can be adjusted completely to suit the user.

Jens is the secret weapon at LUCTRA®: he calculates lighting needs, supports and advises both inside sales and field staff and helps wherever his expert knowledge as a certified light specialist is needed. He starts his day by switching on the Table Pro on his desk, and once this is done, nothing can really go wrong any longer. His current personal favourite topic is biologically effective light and its effect on human beings. “That fascinates me again and again!”

The true sales pro has been working for parent company DURABLE for 21 years, and is responsible for exports to almost 80 countries. He is delighted to have an innovative technical, yet lifestyle-oriented product in the product portfolio. Oliver has been excited about this from day one: “State-of-the-art technology, trendy design and individual use – that is what urban target groups are looking for today!” As a result, the Export department is focusing on a few core markets initially, like the Middle East, where people spend virtually the entire summer in darkened rooms:

Marco loves to travel. The native Italian is fascinated by other cultures, other people. If not, he could hardly do his job, as his territories include the Middle East, Central and South America, Asia, in addition to Spain, Portugal, Greece, Turkey and Africa. After almost 20 years in the world of office products, he is enthusiastic about working for and with LUCTRA®: “The market is so dynamic, and the spirit and optimism in the LUCTRA® team is simply infectious!” Marco also hopes to impress his customers with this through the ongoing project work.

Her job title seems a bit out of place when you look at this charming Belgian lady, since she does not just manage LUCTRA® – it is her life. To her, the lamp is like her own baby, which she wants to bring up with passion and great care. To this end, she works through the night, travels around the world and gets her way with enthusiasm and perseverance.

Martina has been working in communications and press relations at LUCTRA® for three years, acting as a link between the company, the press and the outside world. The experienced PR lady says her personal mission is to “tell good stories”. “The complexity of PR is what keeps me fascinated!” The mother of three is inspired every day by the fact that the young LUCTRA® brand does not have any tried and trusted processes yet, and she can try out a lot of new things: from social media and influencers to guerilla campaigns – nothing is ruled out.

Britta seems to be afraid of next to nothing. The native Westphalian has been with DURABLE for nine years and, when she was offered the job of Product Manager, she accepted at once. Creating a brand from scratch, without a double bottom and safety net – that is what drives the industrial engineer every day. Yet she never loses her clear sight of essentials.
